ONWARD AND UPWARD SCHOLARSHIP

In 2026, Bismarck Optimist Club proudly announced its annual $1,000 scholarship for one Burleigh or Morton County, North Dakota graduating high school senior. The scholarship is to assist in their pursuit of a post-secondary degree or technical certificate, and must be used at a college, university or technical school in the upcoming school year.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and be self-motivated, dependable, respect others, and have a spirit of service and volunteerism. Application deadline is April 1 of the applicant’s senior year with the recipient being notified by May 1 of that same year.

Founded in 1971, Bismarck Optimist Club is dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" through its positive community service projects and by providing a helping hand and opportunities to youth. Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be.
